[人魚の卵]
人魚が流した涙は、砂に落ちて宝石になりました。
見つからなかった宝石は、
やがて卵になりました。
卵は引き潮に飲み込まれ、
海の底で
人魚の孵化を月夜の水越しに
そっと待っているのです。

[Mermaid's Egg]
Tears shed by mermaids fell into the sand and became jewels.
The jewels that went unfound
eventually turned into eggs.
The eggs are swallowed by the ebb tide,
and at the bottom of the sea,
they wait quietly through the moonlit water
for the mermaid to hatch.
