街の旅を良くしていましたので、旅行者の目でBarの話をすると。
ホテルから歩いて丁度良い距離に良いBarがあると嬉しいです。
良いBarとは、私の場合、安全でお酒の時間を正確に提供できるBarです。
観光スポット目当てではなく、街そのものを観光するスタイルの旅行者でしたので、その街がどういう所か、滞在している街の良いBarに来ている街の人達は、どのような雰囲気なのか、どのような感触の方達なのかを知りたいんです。
それがこそが旅の土産なんですね。
観光ですか？ ご旅行ですか？ と尋ねられても、それ以上詮索しないルールを知っているお店が、私の好きな店です。
来た所の話を行った街でわざわざしたくはありません。
なのに、あらら、というお店は、普段居る場所での時間から離れたくて来ているのに、普段居る場所の話をするんですね。
やって来た街の人達とそこの街の普段の雰囲気に触れたくて来ているので、安全確認の為の質問が終わったら、お酒を飲む時間を正確に提供して欲しいんです。
話したかったら話好きのお店に行きます。
例えばスナックや交流目的のお店。
私はお酒を飲んでいる時は、あまり話をしたくありません。
静かにこのお酒美味しいな。しみじみとお店のインテリア素敵だな。とうっとりして、街の雑踏から離れた店の日常にも酔いたいですし、やって来た街でニセモノのそこで暮らしている人達になりたいからです。
お母さんぽい人が居て、煩く世話を焼かれたり説教とかされると二度と行きません。（そもそも行こうとしない。）
街の郷愁は、その街の人々の無関心と普段の雰囲気の中に存在するからです。
あと少し気まずい話題ですが。
トイレはある程度広く、綺麗で、入り口をロック出来て、パウダールームとプライベートルームが別れていて、十分な空間があると、とても安心出来ます。
Barに大荷物は持って行きませんが、お酒の途中でルージュを直すので、パウダールームにはバッグを置くスペースが必要ですし、真夏以外は薄いコートやジャケットを着ていますので、掛けられるスペースがあると助かるんですよね。
トイレは殆どが洋式ですので（日本では和式のトイレもある所はありますが、事前に張り紙等でお店側が教えて下さいますよ。）どの性を持っていても座ってプライベートタイムを過ごすのが常識になりつつ有り、とても嬉しいです。
プライベートルームでトイレットペーパーが切れていたら、替えましょう。
プライベートルームに入る前に皆、絶対確認するんだから、切れていたら替えるなりお店の人を呼びましょう。
しつこく書きますが、何故か国内では、インバウンド旅行者達は騒がしいだの大声で話しながら歩くだの洋式トイレの使い方が分からないだの、インターネットのすごく小さな場所「だけで」デマが罷り通っているようですが。
街でインバウンドの観光客とすれ違ったり、お店で一緒になったりした事のある日本人の大多数は、それは違うと知っています。
インバウンド観光客達は、事前にインターネットで日本の社会マナーを調べてから来日して下さっているようで、此方の不手際でロッカー数が足りないだけでご本人達は何も悪くないのに、バスの中や電車の中でスーツケースをしっかり押さえ、少しでも他の客の為に通路を空けようと、見ている此方が気の毒になるくらい気を遣ってらっしゃいます。
それに皆さんとても静かですよ。
日本に来て楽しくして賑々しく過ごしているくらいで（あの光景を見かけると、私達も明るく温かい気持ちになりますよね）、あの音量で煩いのなら、日曜日の私達の方が何万倍も煩いですよ。
すぐ上のセンテンスは、インバウンドの来日客達がとても気を遣って下さっている事を、私も皆さんと同じように知っていますよ。ご安心下さい。と、日本人の大多数の方々に向かって書いています。
良いBarですが、お店の中にも雑踏があると嬉しいです。
私はそういう誰もこちらを気にせず、だけど周囲が丁度良くそれぞれのテーブルのお酒の時間を過ごしている中で、カウンターに座るのが好きです。
バーテンダー達と一言二言言葉を交わして、その店の感触を味わい、メニューを選んで美しいお酒を愉しんでいます。
正直、私はBarで出会いを期待していません。
私見ながら、クラシカルな映画でBarの出会いがあるのは、滅多に無いロマンティックだから描かれているのではないでしょうか？

When I'm drinking, I don't really want to talk much.
I want to quietly savor the drink, think “This is delicious,” and deeply appreciate the lovely interior. I want to get lost in the shop's everyday atmosphere, away from the city's hustle and bustle, and become a fake local in the town I've come to.
If there's a motherly type who nags me or lectures me, I won't go back. (I won't go in the first place.)
The nostalgia of a city exists in the indifference of its people and the ordinary atmosphere.

I feel very reassured when the restroom is reasonably spacious, clean, has a lockable door, separates the powder room from the private stalls, and offers ample space.
I don't bring large bags to bars, but I do need space in the powder room to set my bag while touching up my lipstick mid-drink. Also, except in the height of summer, I wear a light coat or jacket, so having a place to hang it is a huge help.

Inbound tourists seem to research Japanese social etiquette online before arriving. Even when it's our fault there aren't enough lockers, they aren't at fault at all. Yet, on buses and trains, they hold onto their suitcases tightly, trying to keep the aisle clear for other passengers. They're so considerate it makes you feel sorry for them.
And everyone is very quiet.
If they're just enjoying themselves and having a lively time in Japan (seeing that makes us feel bright and warm too, doesn't it?), then if that volume is considered noisy, we're ten thousand times noisier on Sundays.

It's a good bar, but I'd be happy if there was a bit of hustle and bustle inside too.
