日曜日なので、穏やかな内容を書いています。

 

眺めのベランダ にはいつも背の低い植木を置いていた画ですが、熱中症になったのと急に生活が慌ただしくなってきたので、枯れ混んでしまったのをきっかけに少し背の高い鉢植えに変えました。

 

すると生垣のようになってとても気に入っています。

目隠しになるんですね。

どうしてこういう所にはスタンダードに小さな植木を並べる、から出て来れなかったのかと発見でした。

 

百合の生垣（いけがき）

小さな一列の鉢植えには、ゼラニウムをどうしても並べたくて何度かチャレンジしたのですが、何故か上手く育たず、眺めのベランダには別の鉢植えをいつも置いていました。

恐らくゼラニウムには適さない環境なんでしょうね。

同じように眺めのベランダで赤く眩しく滲むゼラニウムを溢れるほど育てている方を通りから見つける度に、日当たり等の環境はそう変わらないようなのですが。

 

おかげで眺めのベランダに生垣まで出来て、小さな1Cabinがとても凛々しくなりました。

数日前、ハリー・スタイルズの新しいアルバム(Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.）を聴き込みたいと書いた筈ですが、忙しさに押し流されてすっかり忘れていた所、アメリカの番組にハリー・スタイルズのニューアルバムを称賛されている拍手で登場したシーンを見て、慌てて聴き始めたところ、むしろ数週間前の方が感性が鈍っていたようで、ギョッとするほど偉大なアルバムだったと唖然としています。

 

NetflixのBTSカムバックライブでのFYAのパフォーマンスを観た時も感じたのですが、ハリー・スタイルズのAre you Listening Yet?での世界構築も、ノーブルなクラブが若い方や青年達の間で流行っているのでしょうか？

私の住む街にもあればまだ盛り上がり切る前の時間にそっと覗いてみたいものです。

アイチューンズでは1800円代で購入できたので、早速お小遣いで買いました。

今はAre you Listening Yet?やAmerican Girls、Pop、Dance No Moreに夢中です。

Temuでマッチケースを購入する時に、美しい透明な栞（しおり）を見つけたので一緒に買いました。

 

2026年の6月前は、皆がのびのびしているように私には見えています。

暑さ対策をして明るい夜の始まりを歩くと、もう少し体力が付いて気楽な時間なら、外で缶ビールを飲みたいのにな、と思います。（片付けはしっかりと。ゴミは持ち帰り、騒がないようにしましょう）

昔、日本という国が高度経済成長期だった頃、夕方のあちこち、明るい夜の始まりに、テラスで人々がお酒を飲みながら涼しくなった夏の風に目を細めていたと伺ったことがあります。

その気持ち良さ、リアリスト達の明るくなっていく謹厳さがくつろぎである。というストリートの感覚は、2026年の街にも合っているのではないか、と考えています。

 

それで今年は少し古くけれども清潔で気持ちの良い、ビア・ガーデンを探そうと思います。

夏の風に吹かれたいこの気まぐれを私は謳歌しようと思います。

Since it’s Sunday, I’m writing something gentle.
 
I used to always keep short potted plants on my balcony, which offers a nice view, but after I suffered from heatstroke and my life suddenly became hectic, the plants started to wither. Taking that as an opportunity, I switched to some slightly taller potted plants.
 
Now it looks like a hedge, and I really like it.
It serves as a privacy screen.
It was a revelation to realize why I’d never been able to break away from the standard practice of lining up small plants in spaces like this.

I really wanted to line up geraniums in a small row of pots, so I tried several times, but for some reason they never grew well, and I always ended up placing different plants on my scenic balcony.
I suppose the environment just isn’t suitable for geraniums.

Yet every time I spot someone from the street who has their scenic balcony overflowing with geraniums, their leaves glowing a dazzling red, it seems like the sunlight and other environmental conditions aren’t that different from mine.
 
Thanks to that, a living hedge has even formed on my balcony, making my little 1Cabin look very stately.

A few days ago, I think I wrote that I wanted to really dive into Harry Styles’ new album (Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.), but I got swept up in my busy schedule and completely forgot about it. 

 

Then, I saw a clip on an American TV show where Harry Styles made his entrance to a round of applause praising his new album, so I hurriedly started listening to it. It turns out my senses were actually duller a few weeks ago—I’m now stunned by just how incredible this album is.
 
I felt the same way when I watched the performance of “FYA” on Netflix’s BTS comeback live, but is the world-building in Harry Styles’ “Are You Listening Yet?” also part of a trend where “noble clubs” are becoming popular among young people and teenagers?
If there’s one in the city where I live, I’d love to sneak in before the place gets too crowded.
I wonder if there’s one at the Ritz?
 
I found it on iTunes for around 1,800 yen, so I bought it right away with my allowance.
Right now, I’m obsessed with “Are You Listening Yet?”, “American Girls”, “Pop”, and “Dance No More”.

To me, everyone seems to be relaxing and enjoying themselves in the months leading up to June 2026.

As I walk out into the cool evening air, having taken precautions against the heat, I find myself thinking, “If I were a little more fit and had more free time, I’d love to have a can of beer outside.” (Just make sure to clean up properly. Take your trash home with you, and let’s not make too much noise.)

I’ve heard that back in the days when Japan was experiencing rapid economic growth, people would gather on terraces in the evenings—as the night began to brighten—sipping drinks and squinting in the cool summer breeze.

I think that sense of comfort—that street-level feeling where the growing cheerfulness of the realists becomes a form of relaxation—would fit right in with the streets of 2026.
 
So this year, I plan to seek out a beer garden—perhaps a bit old-fashioned, but clean and pleasant.
I intend to fully embrace this whim of mine to feel the summer breeze.
