台所の布製カレンダー

布カレンダーを今年から使っています。

月毎に鋏で切って使うんですが、とても良い雰囲気になっていって居て、私の住む街に桜が開く前頃の白い光を入れて撮影しました。

 

私達がフォントと英語の略記号と数字だけのデザインを見ると、薄緑色の羽化したばかりの翅を想い、その瑞々しさに満たされるのは何故なんでしょう。

 

英語で書いてあるとお洒落に見える。は大昔は嘲笑の言葉でしたが、私は記号と文字の組み合わせが創るデザインメッセージにはインテリジェンスと若さがあると思っています。

 

若々しさを保つ為にミドルに入った青年達があらためて聴講生になったり、夜間で学びたかった学術を専攻するのは、本能でこのデザインメッセージからスタディイング（Study + ing）の影響を受け続けられると知っているからではないでしょうか？

　

クラシックとコーヒータイムは日本では純喫茶と言って、茶道のように珈琲を聞き、クラシックの針から振動する音色と一緒に聞いて味わう専門店があります。

 

私はストロングコーヒーが好きなので、もう少しカジュアルで少し外に出て街の音が混ざり、季節の風の中、コーヒーと日常を一緒に飲むのが好きです。

 

部屋の中でそれを再現するには、 HIPHOPやR&B・ジャズ・モダンジャズを聴けばいいんでしょうが、こちらのApple Musicのプレイリストは、その逆を発想しているようです。

 

コーヒーは日常的なライフパートナーで、ストロングで在り続ける湧水としているのであれば、クラシックはハイ・ライフだけのものという誤解を、クラッシックとコーヒーへのスタイルごと部屋の中に招き入れ、息抜きの時間を過ごしながら払拭する効果は、多分に或ると思います。

 

眺めの良い部屋という映画タイトルを記憶していますが、観たことはありません。

穏やかで興味のインテリジェンスだけに満ちているドラマだと良いのですが。 

　

此れは何処かの誰かの部屋からの眺めです。

Kitchen Fabric Calendar

I started using a fabric calendar this year.
You cut off each month with scissors, and it’s really starting to look great. I took this photo with the soft white light of early spring, just before the cherry blossoms bloom in my town.
 
Why is it that when we see a design consisting only of fonts, English abbreviations, and numbers, we’re reminded of the pale green wings of a newly emerged butterfly, and feel filled with that sense of freshness?
 
“It looks stylish when written in English” used to be a phrase of derision long ago, but I believe there is intelligence and youthfulness in the design messages created by the combination of symbols and letters.
 
Could it be that young adults in their mid-career, seeking to maintain their youthfulness, are returning to school as auditors or pursuing academic studies they’ve always wanted to take at night because they instinctively know they can continue to be influenced by the “studying” (Study + ing) inherent in these design messages?

 

　

In Japan, these spaces where you can enjoy classical music and coffee are called “jun kissa” (traditional coffee shops). There are specialty shops where, much like the tea ceremony, you can savor coffee while listening to the sounds emanating from the turntable as classical music plays.
 
Since I like strong coffee, I prefer a slightly more casual setting where I can step outside a bit, let the sounds of the city blend in, and enjoy my coffee and everyday life together in the seasonal breeze.
 
To recreate that feeling indoors, I suppose I could just listen to hip-hop, R&B, jazz, or modern jazz, but this Apple Music playlist seems to take the opposite approach.
 
If coffee is a daily companion and a constant source of strength, I believe there is great value in inviting the Classic style—along with the coffee itself—into your home to dispel the misconception that the Classic is reserved solely for the high life, allowing you to unwind and enjoy a moment of respite.

 

　

I remember the movie title *A Room with a View*, but I’ve never seen it.
I hope it’s a gentle drama filled with nothing but intellectual curiosity.

This is the view from someone’s room somewhere.

Sound Picture in Brain （絶対音感） / Sound Picture in Brain （Perfect Pitch）/ Of The Earth : Syabaka

Apple Musicの助かる所は、Apple Musicのセンスを通したお勧めのアルバムを見つけられる事です。

 

先程、普段お気に入りのApple Music R&Bのプレイリストが、思ったより口に合わなかったので、Apple Musicジャズのお勧めを聴いたらとても好きでした。 

 

Of The Earth / Syabaka

　

Apple Musicジャズのトップに出ていて、聴いてみると此の楽曲が一番好きでした。

Those Of The SkyやアルバムOf The Earthは、お風呂に微温湯（ぬるまゆ）を張ったり、大きめ洗面器にお湯とアロマオイルを1、2滴落とし、素足を浸けている時に流すととても合うのではないかと思います。

 

ミュージシャンの中には絶対音感という才能（ギフト）を持たれている方々が多数おられますが、 その中でもシャバカは景色から音が聴こえるタイプの絶対音感の持ち主ではないか、と思いました。

 

Apple Musicのアーティストリンクにはシャバカへの詳しい言及は無かったので、そういうスタイルの音楽活動をされているのでしょうね。

 

絶対音感というと、全ての音が全部音楽に聴こえる、又は音そのものに対して非常に敏感で、絶対音感というギフトの持ち主と一緒に過ごす場合、物音に注意せねばならない、というのが1990年代の日本での理解でした。

 

聞いた話なんですが。

 

音が全て音符で聴こえると同時に音楽として認識出来るタイプ、

聞こえた音が何の音階か分かるタイプ、

頭の中で始終音楽が鳴って居て、ある日其れが自分だけだと気が付き、譜に起こす（楽譜に書き出していける）タイプ、

前述プラス、まだ知られていない絶対音感のタイプが、複雑に合わさって居るタイプ等々、

 

あらゆる絶対音感の持ち主が居るのでは無いか？　と思いました。

 

複雑に合わさっているタイプは編曲に特化して居たり、会場でPAと呼ばれる機材を扱って、録音と同じクオリティで聴衆の耳に伝わるよう調節したり、レコーディングスタジオで最も重要な音全般のクオリティを維持する業務、サウンド・エンジニアで其のギフトを生かして居るのではないでしょうか？

 

シャバカが自ら言及しない限り此の方のギフトの種類は分かりませんが、Of The Earthを一聴した時、此の人は目の前の景色から音が聴こえて居るか、聴こえて居る音の音符が見えているのかも知れないな、と思いました。

其れは、イメージ（想像内の描象形）という画（ピクチャー）から聴こえる音も含まれるのではないでしょうか？

此方は今日タイトルにしているアルバムOf The Earth収録のStep Lightly。

 

ジャズやフュージョンの音もシルキーで好きです。

此処まで行くと、サウンドシステムにまで拘らないとならないので、スピーカーを選ばない私はとても緊張してしまうんですが、アイフォンでApple Musicのハイレゾロスレスにして、RELAXのスピーカーで流すと、HSPの私の耳でも十分問題無く聞けます。

The great thing about Apple Music is discovering recommended albums curated through Apple Music's taste.
Earlier, I realized my usual favorite Apple Music R&B playlist wasn't quite to my taste, so I tried Apple Music's jazz recommendations—and I really liked them.

Of The Earth / Syabaka

　

Apple Music's Jazz Top list featured this track, and upon listening, it became my favorite.
I think “Those Of The Sky” and the album “Of The Earth” would be perfect to play while running a lukewarm bath, or filling a large basin with hot water and a drop or two of aromatherapy oil, and soaking your bare feet.
 
Many musicians possess the gift of perfect pitch, but among them, I think Shabaka might be the type who hears sounds from scenery.
 
Since Apple Music's artist page didn't mention Shabaka in detail, I suppose that's the style of music he pursues.
 
Back in the 1990s in Japan, the understanding of perfect pitch was that all sounds were perceived as music, or that people with this gift were extremely sensitive to sound itself. It was said that when spending time with someone possessing this gift, you had to be careful about making noise.
 
So I've heard.
 
There are types who hear every sound as a musical note and recognize it as music,
types who can identify the scale of any sound they hear,
types who constantly hear music playing in their head and one day realize it's only them, then transcribe it (can write it down as sheet music),
types who combine the above plus other, as yet undiscovered types of perfect pitch, and so on.
 
I wondered if there might be all kinds of absolute pitch people out there?
 
Those with complex combinations might specialize in arranging, or work with PA equipment at venues, adjusting it so the audience hears the same quality as the recording, or maintain the overall sound quality—the most crucial aspect in recording studios—as sound engineers, putting that gift to use, right?
 
Unless Shabaka himself mentions it, we can't know the exact nature of his gift. But upon first hearing Of The Earth, I wondered if this person hears sounds from the scenery before their eyes, or perhaps even sees the musical notes of the sounds they hear.
Couldn't that include sounds heard from pictures formed by imagery (pictures within the imagination)?

This is Step Lightly from the album Of The Earth featured in today's title.
I also love the silky sounds of jazz and fusion.
At this level, you really have to be particular about your sound system, and since I don't pick my speakers carefully, it makes me very nervous. But when I play it on my iPhone with Apple Music set to Hi-Res Lossless through my RELAX speakers, even my highly sensitive ears can listen perfectly fine.

春宵夜想 / Spring Night Musk / Sunday edition

 

　

日曜日なので、穏やかな内容を書いています。

 

一部に熱狂的な人気のザ・プリンスですが、変わらず非常に美しいです。

今年は私は冬剪定が出来ていません。

暑さに非常に弱いので、漸く年始の忙しさも落ち着き、素敵な名前を持つ庭の手入れと思っていたら、2月に入り急に暑くなったので大事を摂って控えていたんです。 

気がつけば3月に入ってしまい、私の住む街では今月末には桜が開く季節になりました。

 

薔薇ですが、今年1年は部屋を中心に静かに暮らすと決めているので、2025年の歳末に狙っていた珍しい大苗をいくつか購入しています。

無事、冬越しが出来たので、開花を待って皆さんにもご紹介出来ると思います。

 

以前、薔薇を始めようかなと思う方は大苗を購入した方が良いと書きましたが、大苗は非常に安定しているので育て易いからお勧めしました。

私もナーセリーで最初に大苗を買っています。今でも非常に元気で一番の気に入りです。

 

ザ・プリンスは今は流通に乗っていないようで、素敵な名前を持つ庭では少し隠れた日当たりの良い場所に置いています。

なので普段とは別の方々の毎日にそっと咲いていて、窓からの眺めで珍しい美しさを、ご存知無く彩っているといいな、と思っています。

 

　

 

ザ・プリンスの香りは、嗅ぐと誰もが「良い香り」だと思う匂いです。

ベランダの森に香りを放つ種類を、と考える気持ちに水を差す言葉を以前見かけたことがあります。

それも近所迷惑だと書いてありました。

馬鹿なんじゃないでしょうか？

 

素敵な名前を持つ庭には毎季節に合わせ、香りを持つ花が開く小さな樹が幾つか有りますが、貴方の家の洗濯物に着いている柔軟剤の香りよりもその芳香は弱いですよ、と言ってやりたかったので、今書いています。

 

ザ・プリンスは、咲き進むと花びらの先が丸くカールしていくのがとても面白いです。

見れば見る程、アントワーヌ・ド・サン＝テグジュペリの「星の王子様」を彷彿させる姿です。

この薔薇は夜にも良く似合い、ノクターンの調べを無音で奏でているようです。 

 

夜想曲と呼ばれているこの楽曲は「ノクターン第2番　変ホ長調作品9」が正式名称です。

以前フジコ・ヘミングのコンサートをYouTubeで観た時、アンコールのラストに「ノクターン」を弾いていて、素敵な余韻で演奏を締めたのに感激したのを憶えています。

 

春宵とは本来、この位の冷えた早春の夜のことなんだそうです。

それを伺い、素敵な名前を持つ庭の温度計を見ると8度を指していました。

その気温帯では日が沈んだ後の空は、コバルト色に染まっています。

 

 

　

春の夜は静かなピアノの音が一番似合うと思います。

切ない出会いと別れの季節でもありますが、何処か浮き足立った感情が過ぎていて、意識してその感性を低くする位が丁度良いと考えています。

 

泣いている方を見かけると心配になるのは、人間や動物・虫・植物も同様ですが、 非常に傍らの者を動揺させるものであるからです。

だから昔から大人であればある程、子供の頃から一人で泣くのだと思います。

 

その透明な落下を共にするのは心を分かち合った一人だけにして、後は静かにしているのが、この頃の季節には一番良いと思うようになりました。

 

部屋の中で外を眺めながら、冷えた打学の音が零れ落ちる調べで、心に静かな波紋を繰り返し描くと、まだ見ぬ夜想の花の香りが夜の窓辺に届くかもしれません。

Since it's Sunday, I'm writing something gentle.

 
The Prince, beloved by some with passionate fervor, remains as beautiful as ever.
This year, I haven't been able to do my winter pruning.
Since it's extremely sensitive to heat, I thought I'd wait until the New Year rush finally settled down to tend to this A Garden with a KAWAII Name. 

 

But then February arrived and suddenly turned hot, so I decided to err on the side of caution and hold off.
Before I knew it, March arrived, and in my town, it's now the season when cherry blossoms bloom by the end of the month.
 
As for roses, I've decided to live quietly indoors this year, so I've purchased several rare large seedlings I'd been eyeing for the end of 2025.
They made it through winter safely, so I think I'll be able to introduce them to everyone once they bloom.
 
I previously wrote that those considering starting roses should buy large plants, recommending them because they are very stable and easy to grow.
I also bought my first large plant at a nursery. It's still very healthy and my absolute favorite.
 
The Prince seems to be out of circulation now, so I've placed it in a slightly hidden, sunny spot in A Garden with a KAWAII Name.
So, I hope it quietly blooms for people other than usual, adding a touch of rare beauty to their daily view from the window, even if they don't know it.

 

The Prince's fragrance is the kind of scent that makes everyone think, “That smells nice.”
I once saw words that dampened the spirit of wanting to plant fragrant varieties in the balcony forest.
It said they were a nuisance to the neighbors.
Are they crazy?
 
I'm writing this because I wanted to tell them: While my  A Garden with a KAWAII Names does have a few small trees that bloom with fragrant flowers each season, their scent is weaker than the fabric softener on your laundry.
 
As it blooms, the tips of the petals curl into a round shape, which is quite fascinating.
The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's “The Little Prince.”
This rose also suits the night well, seeming to play a silent nocturne.
 
This piece, called a nocturne, is formally titled “Nocturne No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 9.”
I remember being deeply moved when I watched a Fujiko Hemming concert on YouTube; she played the “Nocturne” as the final encore, ending the performance with a beautiful, lingering resonance.
 
I hear that a spring night should be this chilly, like an early spring evening.
Hearing that, I looked at A Garden with a KAWAII Name, and it read 8 degrees.
At that temperature, the sky after sunset is dyed cobalt blue.

 

　

Spring nights are best suited to the quiet sound of piano music.
It's a season of bittersweet encounters and farewells, yet the restless emotions have passed, and I find it just right to consciously dampen that sensitivity.
 
Seeing someone cry makes me worry—it's the same for humans, animals, insects, and plants—because it deeply unsettles those nearby.
That's why, since ancient times, I believe the more mature one is, the more they learn to cry alone from childhood.
 
I've come to believe that sharing that transparent fall with only one person who truly understands your heart, and keeping the rest quiet, is best for this time of year.
 
Gazing outside from within your room, as the chilled notes of piano music trickle down like a melody, drawing quiet ripples in your heart again and again, the scent of an unseen nocturnal flower might just reach your window in the night.

霧の朝 / A Misty Morning / Sunday edition / 1 Cabin

　

日曜日なので、穏やかな内容を書いています。

先日、近所のTRONCで花を買ってきました。

店を出た後、どうして花屋さんは値段を明記して置かないんだろう？　と言われ物凄く頷きました。

 

お店の前にお洒落な濃いグリーンの黒板を置いて、チョークで花の名前と一本の値段を書いては如何か（どうか）と、二人で盛り上がりました。

花屋さんに入りにくいのって、「これ一本お幾らですか？」と尋ねて置いて、（高い・・・）と思った後の会話が苦手なんですよね。

入ってみたいお花屋さんって、何処も素敵でさっぱり清潔なので、「それでは結構です。」と言って出ていくのが申し訳なくなるんですよね。

 

今此れを読まれた日曜版の皆さんは、画面に向かって深く頷かれていると思います。

世界中の花屋さんの前でウロウロしている全員の悩みが、たった今解決しました。良かったです。 

 

上の写真のカラーという花は一本180円位でした。

私は1000円くらいかな・・・、とお財布の中身を計算しながら「これは一本お幾らですか？」とお聞きしました。

下の写真のガーベラも1本200円位でした。

意外に安いんですよ。花って。

 

　

 

高い物で1本1000円から1500円位です。

美しいアンバーカラーの大輪の薔薇（先の尖ったタイプ）だったような記憶があります。

90年代だった筈です。 

当時は輸入で私の住む街に入って来てたので、それ程でした。

 

電話で問い合わせたんですが、その当時だけ1本からは売って頂けませんでした。

私は若者で相手は今の私位の年齢のようで、途轍も無く慇懃無礼なお店でしたよ。

その悪しき経緯があったので、現在、皆さんが花屋さんに入られると「1本からでもお気軽にどうぞ」と仰って下さるんですね。

 

きっと何処かの段階で、マレーネ・デートリッヒのような美しい薔薇の化身が、「貴女、1本から売って下さるの？　若い方には断るって聞いていますよ？」

と訊いて下さったのでしょうね。

 

髪をエレガントにカールする訓練を、今日から始めようと思います。

此方は素敵な名前を持つ庭の噴水が凍っていた朝の写真です。

庭を拵えて（こしらえて）初めてのことです。

水が凍った庭って良いですよね。

素敵な名前を持つ庭が美術品になったようでした。

 

そろそろ私の好きな初春が終わってしまいます。

でも5月には"けやき通り"の新緑が、通りを碧く染めるので楽しみにしています。

Since it's Sunday, I'm writing something lighthearted.

The other day, I bought some flowers at TRONC in my neighborhood.
After leaving the store, someone asked me, “Why don't florists display their prices?” and I nodded vigorously in agreement.
 
We got excited about the idea of placing a stylish dark green chalkboard in front of the shop and writing the names of the flowers and their prices with chalk.
The reason it's hard to go into a flower shop is that I'm not good at the conversation that follows after asking, “How much is this one?” and thinking, “It's expensive...”
The flower shops I want to go into are all lovely and clean, so I feel bad saying, “No, thank you,” and leaving.
 
I'm sure everyone reading this in the Sunday edition is nodding deeply at their screens.
The problem faced by everyone wandering around in front of flower shops around the world has just been solved. That's great. 

 

The flower called “color” in the photo above, was about 180 yen per stem.
I thought maybe around 1000 yen... while calculating the contents of my wallet, I asked, “How much is this one stem?”
The gerbera in the photo below was also about 200 yen per stem.
Flowers are surprisingly cheap. 

 

　

 
The priciest ones were around 1000 to 1500 yen per stem.
I recall it being a beautiful, large-flowered rose in an amber color (the pointed-tip type).
It must have been around the 90s.
Back then, they were imported into my town, so that was the price.
What's more, I called to inquire, but they wouldn't sell me even a single stem at that time.
I was young, and the person I spoke to seemed to be about my current age. It was an incredibly rude shop.
Because of that bad experience, nowadays, when you go into a florist, they say, “Feel free to buy even just one stem.”
 
I'm sure at some point, a woman as beautiful as Marlene Dietrich, the very embodiment of a rose, must have inquired, “Do you sell single stems? I heard you refuse to sell to young people?”

I think I'll start training myself to curl my hair elegantly starting today.

Ice Blossom

This is a photo of the garden fountain with its lovely name frozen on a morning.
It's the first time since I built the garden.
A garden frozen over is lovely, isn't it?
The garden with its lovely name seemed like a work of art.
My favorite early spring season is coming to an end soon.
But I'm looking forward to May, when the fresh green leaves of the zelkova trees along the avenue will turn the street a vibrant green.
