こちらはバンクシーの作品・灯台の壁画にあったメッセージなんだそうです。

この言葉をリスペクト・オマージュして主に芸術について書く時に使おうと思います。

メダイに興味を持ち、芸術や美術品について興味が湧いてきたからです。

 

なので今日の日曜版は " I want to be what you saw in me "第一回目でもあります。

部屋の中に絵を置きたいと今の部屋に来てよく思うようになりました。

でも中々気に入ったものが見つからず、画家に頼んで描いて頂こうかと思っていたら、メダイを購入した機会に壁掛け絵や卓上絵ならあるかしら？　と探したらとても好きな作品があったので幾つか購入しています。

 

上の写真は"壁掛銀縁 グアダルーペの聖母"です。

私は黄色い肌の持ち主なので、此方の褐色の肌を持たれる聖母様に非常に親近感を感じました。

 

この方はメキシコで出現された聖母様で、1531年12月にメキシコ・シティ郊外のテペヤックで、ファン・ディエゴさんという方の前に現れたのだそうです。

 

ファン・ディエゴは、司教様に会いましたが、司教は信じてくれませんでした。それどころか、何か聖母に証拠になる物を願いなさいと言いました。
彼は、聖母にそのことを伝えると、聖母は丘一面に咲くばらの花を持っていくように言いました。 そして、ご自分のことを「私は、この地を守る聖母です。私をグアダルーペと呼びなさい」とおっしゃいました。

彼は、急いで、そのばらの花をたくさん切り、自分のマントに包みました。司教様の前で、自分のマントを開け、ばらを見せました。真冬にばらの花が咲くという不思議だけでなく、そのばらはスペインにしかない種類のばらでした。それだけではなく、マントの内側に彼が出会ったと同じ褐色の顔色、黒い髪の聖母マリアの姿がうつされていました。

このファン・ディエゴのマントに現れた聖母マリアの姿が、この「グアダルーペの聖母」です。

実は私の西洋美術に関する知識はラファエロやレンブラント、印象派しか知らず、後は荻原碌山や白磁などの造形や近代では前衛とイラストレーションになっています。

それで丁度メダイがラファエロのタッチだったりミケランジェロのタッチなので、手に入れやすい大きさなので、自分の部屋の環境に取り入れてみようと思いました。

 

私の住む日本では、絵画は人に贈るのが難しいものとして上位に挙げられるんですが、確かにインテリアの趣味を知らないで贈ると頂いても困ります。

けれど一度部屋を訪れていればその限りでは無いのではないでしょうか？

ドラマやコミックでは絵を頂いて部屋に合わずに困った、というエピソードが必ず近代で描かれるんですが、何故なんでしょうね。

こちらは卓上絵のリッピのマドンナ、次の本稿で詳しく取り上げます。

気に入りの絵でもありますが、このサイズですと全く邪魔になりませんでした。

 

映画やドラマの失敗例って大体異様に大きな絵ですよね。

あんなの簡単に買えないし、そもそもそんな大きな絵を飾れるスペースの部屋に誰も住んでいませんから、ステレオタイプな描写です。

 

また頂いても絵の季節や頂いた季節に合わせて、模様替えの季節に出しても良いし。

その時に贈って下さった方に、今年も飾ったよと葉書を出す新しい習慣が出来て、絵と一緒にそっと気持ちが触れ合う時間が現れますね。

 

メダイ 無原罪のマリア

メダイですが、海外では当たり前かも知れませんけれど、ギフトで贈ってもいいと思うんです。
ラッキー・チャーム(御護り)としても良いし、小さな美術品として、特別な贈り物にしても良いのでは無いでしょうか？

麗人Vさんの「コーヒー一緒に飲みませんか？」が世界中を巡ったCMでお馴染みの放課後のプレゼントシーン。
飾らない感じで、コーヒーショップでそのままそっとテーブルの上に置いても、映画のワンシーンのようですよね。

その季節に一番合うのは真冬だと思います。
教会の鐘が遠くで響いてる、静かな冬の午後3時か5時頃のような気がします。

きっとメダイって日常のギフトシーンで、何も包装して無くても、とても静かで敬意がある贈り物として目に映るんじゃないでしょうか？

何時か其の日を振り返った時、

西洋美術の礎(いしずえ)になったキリスト教芸術の、手のひらの中に収まる小さな美術品を、その人は私に手渡したのだ、と胸が温かくなると思います。

新しい人に堂々と紹介できるし、気になるようなら2人で教会に行き、お返しするという道もあります。
そして新しいメダイや他の聖品を選び直すのも優しいひと時ですよね。

沢山のマリア様のお姿や聖人のお姿の内の一つが、その人が思う、貴方を確実に護って下さる方のお姿なんでしょうね。

小さな芸術を持つ度、記憶という胸の中にその人とそのお姿が明滅するのは、良い友人としても貴方との出会いを喜んでいます。という静かで明確な結論です。

私はマイケル・ジャクソンの曲は好きなのは沢山ありますが、Butterfliesもとても好きです。

聴く度にマイケルの二人のお子さんの事を歌われているのかな？　と素敵な気持ちになります。 

 

映画「Michael/マイケル」ですが、Queenの軌跡を描いた映画「ボヘミアン・ラプソディ」の製作陣が手掛けている事でも有名ですね。

私はまだ観ていないのですが、とても楽しみにしています。

 

マイケル・ジャクソンの命日6月25日から、ボヘミアン・ラプソディと同様、応援上映が日本のあちこちで開催されているそうです。

Wall-Mounted Silver-Framed “Our Lady of Guadalupe” / Shop Pauline

Since it’s Sunday, I’m writing something gentle.
 
As I mentioned in my previous message, please be sure to try the simple moulfe.
Starting with this Sunday edition, I’ve added a new category.
“I want to be what you saw in me”
(I want to become what you saw in me)
 
Apparently, this is a message from a Banksy mural on a lighthouse.
I plan to use this phrase as a sign of respect and homage, mainly when writing about art.
This is because I’ve become interested in medals, which has sparked my curiosity about art and artworks in general.
 
So today’s Sunday edition also marks the first installment of “I want to be what you saw in me.”
Since moving into my current apartment, I’ve often found myself wanting to hang a painting in my room.

But I couldn’t find anything I really liked, and just as I was thinking about commissioning an artist to paint something for me, I bought some medals.

That reminded me to search online—I wondered, “Maybe there are wall hangings or tabletop paintings available?”　

I looked into it and found some pieces I really liked, so I’ve purchased a few.

Since I have yellow skin, I felt a strong connection to this Virgin Mary, who has brown skin.
 
This is the Virgin Mary who appeared in Mexico; it is said that in December 1531, she appeared before a man named Juan Diego in Tepeyac, on the outskirts of Mexico City.

To be honest, my knowledge of Western art is limited to Raphael, Rembrandt, and the Impressionists; beyond that, I’m familiar with sculptural art like Ogihara Rokuzan and white porcelain, as well as modern art such as avant-garde and illustration.

Since these medallions feature the styles of Raphael and Michelangelo, and are a size that’s easy to display, I thought I’d try incorporating them into my room’s decor.

This is a tabletop painting of the Madonna by Lippi, which I’ll discuss in more detail in my next post.
It’s one of my favorite paintings, and at this size, it didn’t get in the way at all.
 
In movies and TV shows, the examples of what goes wrong usually involve paintings that are abnormally large, don’t they?
You can’t just buy something like that, and besides, nobody actually lives in a room with enough space to display such a huge painting, so it’s just a stereotypical portrayal.
 
Also, if you receive a painting as a gift, you can display it during the season depicted in the painting or the season you received it—perhaps during your annual redecorating.

This creates a new tradition of sending a postcard to the person who gave it to you, saying, “I displayed it again this year,” and it creates a moment of quiet connection with the giver through the painting. 

Medai: Mary, Immaculate Conception

As for the Medai, while it might be commonplace overseas, I think it would make a great gift.
It works well as a lucky charm, and as a small work of art, wouldn’t it make a special present?

The after-school gift scene from Reijin V’s “Would you like to have coffee with me?” commercial—which went viral around the world—is a familiar one.
With its unpretentious feel, even if you just gently set it on the table at a coffee shop, it looks like a scene straight out of a movie, doesn’t it?

I think the season that suits it best is the dead of winter.
It feels like a quiet winter afternoon—around 3 or 5 o’clock—with church bells ringing in the distance.

I’m sure that in everyday gift-giving situations, even without any wrapping, a medallion would be perceived as a very quiet and respectful gift, wouldn’t it?

Someday, when I look back on that day,
my heart will surely warm at the thought that this person handed me a tiny work of art—one that fits in the palm of my hand—from the Christian art that laid the foundation for Western art.

You can proudly introduce it to new people, and if they’re interested, you could even go to church together to offer it as a return gift.
And choosing a new medal or other religious item is such a heartwarming moment, isn’t it?

Among the many depictions of the Virgin Mary and the saints, one of them is surely the one that person believes will definitely protect you.

Every time you hold that small work of art, the image of that person and that figure flickers in the chamber of your memory—it’s a quiet yet clear sign that, as a good friend, they are delighted to have met you.

There are many Michael Jackson songs I like, but I also really love “Butterflies.”
Every time I listen to it, I wonder if he’s singing about his two children—and it makes me feel really warm inside.
 
As for the movie “Michael,” it’s well known that the production team behind “Bohemian Rhapsody”—the film that chronicled Queen’s journey—is behind it.
I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m really looking forward to it.

前からロレッタのヘアセット剤のデザインが可愛くて欲しいな、と思っていたので思い切って購入しました。

グリースなんだそうで、付けてみると本当に時間が経っても髪が柔らかいままセットを維持出来ていました。

雨や湿気の多い日はケープをその上にひと吹きすると良いです。

私は今はブリーチの後好きな髪色に染めて貰い、銀紙で髪束を所々染めるハイライトを施してもらい、シャギーパーマロングヘアにしています。

手入れは、シャンプーの後、トリートメントしてリンスです。

リンスの後トリートメントでは無く、トリートメント後流してリンスです。

これは美容師さんに伺ったやり方です。

当時私は髪が痛むかもと誰もが不安になるデジタル・パーマをかけていました。

 

ブリーチして髪色染めてハイライトをして、シャワー後脱衣所で地肌へのオイルマッサージとアウトバストリートメントを兼ねた、髪全体にオイルを行き渡らせ、乾かした後、出かける前に事前に髪を軽く濡らしてオイルでカバーした後、ケープを内側（顔側）に軽くスプレーし、130度のヘアアイロンで巻いています。

なので、けっこう痛みやすい状況にあるのですが、枝毛は出ていません。

シャンプー後、トリートメント、流して、リンスして流すです。

 

ブリーチとハイライトを決めた時、派手かな？　と思ったのですが、ハイミドルに入り少し強めの印象を持った方が街の景観に自分が馴染むと考えての事です。

 

大昔、男性に夜道跡ををつけられて怖いという発言に、あちこちのインターネッターから、もし差し支えなければ髪色を明るめにすると強めに見えて防ぎ易い、という意見が寄せられているのを見かけたことがあります。

それで何もかも大丈夫ということは無いでしょうが、やはり強めに見えるというのは大丈夫寄りのようです。

 

ポイントは派手だけど下品に見えないように作り込むことです。

私は毎日体力が許す限り、メイクをマスカラまで全部して外に出る時は出ています。

服も露出は控えつつも、ノースリーブを着る時も少しスリットが入っているロングタイトスカートを履く時も、全体の雰囲気は、やはり強めで上品な感じ、上品というより尖った鋭角な雰囲気を作るようにしています。

そうすると嫌な感じの目で見られることはありません。

 

又、昨日気が付いたのですが、性別問わず、夜に安全な時間帯でそれぞれのジャンルの、お酒を出したり音楽がある場所に出掛ける場合、不慣れな時程土曜日の夜や金曜日の夜なら盛り上がった少し後の時間（夜9時半頃から11時位まで）に行ってみると、慣れた人達ばかりなので、向こうに余裕があり、不慣れな人かどうかをチェックするような下らない奴は殆ど居ませんし、嫌な態度や視線を投げかけられることはありませんよ。

 

同じく、BARの経験がある方から伺ったのですが、雨の夜に飲みに行って（安全なお店であればロマンティックですよね。私も余裕がある時は雨の夜が一番好きです。お店の雰囲気が浮ついていないし） 、お店に傘を忘れてきてしまった時、次の日か予定が空いている夜に同じお店に傘を取りに行きますよね？

 

あれはわざと、あ、どうも。と傘をお客さんにお渡しして、すっとそのお客様をお返しする暗黙のルールがあるんだそうです。

わざと酔っ払っているお客さんに傘を忘れて帰らせて、お店にまた来させて、申し訳なかったな、と思っているお客様の気持ちに付け込んでお酒を勧めるという悪質な手口が、1970年代くらいに日本に存在し、お酒を出すお店の方々がそう決めて今に至るんだそうです。

 

此れを知っていると、忘れてしまった傘を取りにお店に伺った時、思ったよりフレンドリーな対応じゃないから、お店の人にお客さんとして嫌われているのだろうか？ と心配になる事はありませんよね。

 

後メイクのアイシャドウですが、スモーキーアイがやはり強めに見えると思います。

メーカーのくっきりスモーキーでは無く、メインカラーをまぶたに塗った後、目尻に入れる一番濃い色から数えて二番目に濃い色を、仕上げにひと塗りメインカラーの上に乗せます。

今は夏から秋なので、メインカラーの幅を少し狭く乗せている方が多いと思いますが、幅はそのままで結構です。

すると柔らかく女性らしい、または柔らかくソフトな印象にしていても、何処か毅然として見えます。

セブンにあったグリーンのタバスコ 

セブンイレブンに行ったらグリーンのタバスコがあり購入しました。

ハラペーニョの辛さ度1のタバスコです。

私はキャベツのアレでお馴染みのキャベツの作り置きに掛けて食べました。

美味しかったです。

これ茹でた海老や板わさに掛けても美味しいと思います。

 

思ったんですが、海外に行かれる時、薬事法で普段お使いの調味料が持ち込めない時、赤と緑色のタバスコを二つ持って行くか、現地のスーパーで買って置くと良いかもしれません。

濃い食べ物の途中からさっぱり食べる時は緑色のタバスコを、赤いタバスコは辛ラーメン　トゥーンバカップに、日清カップヌードルであれば緑色のタバスコがさっぱりした口当たりで、食が細くなった時に役に立つのでは無いでしょうか？

 

胡椒、辛子、WASABI、醤油の粉タイプを持って行って現地の水で溶いても、水が合わなければ使えないですし。

タバスコの赤と緑なら世界中何処にでも流通しているし、便利だと思います。

セブチことSEVENTEENのTHUNDERは大好きで時々中毒性のあるメロディを繰り返し聴いています。

"アローアロー T/H/U/N/D/E/R"は発表当時ヨーロッパで景色になる程掛かっていたのでは無いでしょうか？

 

雷（かみなり）からアローと電話が掛かって来るという、夜の何かが始まりそうな雨を待つ時間を、何とも魔法じみた空間にしますよね。

それともアロー（コンバンワ！）と雷鳴が街中に声を掛けているのでしょうか。

 

最初この楽曲を聴いた時、これはPSYさんから始まったK-POPの潮流を若々しく引き継いだ名曲だ！と盛り上がっていたのですが、あれ？　そんなに話題では無いのか？　と思っていたら、スポティファイで一億回再生を記録していたそうで、安心しました。

I’d been thinking for a while that Loretta’s hair styling product had such a cute design that I wanted to try it, so I finally took the plunge and bought it.
Apparently, it’s a hair grease, and when I tried it, my hair really did stay soft and held its style even as time went by.

Right now, I have long, shaggy permed hair that I had bleached and then dyed to my favorite color, with highlights applied here and there using foil.
For maintenance, after shampooing, I apply a treatment and then a conditioner.

I don’t apply the treatment after the conditioner—instead, I apply the treatment, rinse it out, and then use the conditioner.
This is the method my hairstylist recommended.
At the time, I was getting a digital perm, which everyone worries might damage their hair.
 
After bleaching, coloring, and adding highlights, I apply oil to my entire head in the changing room after my shower—combining a scalp massage with a leave-in treatment—to ensure the oil is evenly distributed. After drying my hair, I lightly dampen it before heading out, coat it with oil, lightly spray my cape on the inside (toward my face), and curl it with a 130-degree hair straightener.

So, while my hair is in a state where it’s quite prone to damage, I haven’t developed any split ends.
After shampooing, I apply conditioner, rinse it out, then use a rinse-out conditioner and rinse again.
 
When I decided to bleach and add highlights, I wondered, “Is this too flashy?” But I figured that as I’m entering my mid-30s, having a slightly bolder look would help me blend in better with the cityscape.
 
A long time ago, I saw a comment online where a woman said she was scared because a man had been following her down a dark street at night. In response, people from all over the internet suggested that, if it wasn’t a problem, dyeing her hair a lighter color would make her look tougher and help deter such situations.
Of course, that doesn’t mean everything will be fine, but looking tougher does seem to make things a bit safer.
 
The key is to style it so that it’s flashy but doesn’t look tacky.
Every day, as long as my energy allows, I put on a full face of makeup—including mascara—before heading out.
When it comes to clothes, while I keep exposure to a minimum, whether I’m wearing a sleeveless top or a long, tight skirt with a slight slit, I try to create an overall vibe that’s strong yet elegant—or rather, sharp and edgy.
That way, I don’t get stared at in a creepy way.
 
Also, I noticed yesterday that regardless of gender, when going out at night during safe hours to places that serve alcohol or have music—especially if you’re new to the scene—trying to go on Saturday or Friday nights a little after the peak crowd (from around 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) is a good idea. 

Since the crowd is mostly regulars by then, they’re relaxed, and there are hardly any jerks who’ll try to figure out if you’re a newcomer. You won’t get any unpleasant attitudes or stares.
 
Similarly, I heard this from someone with bar experience: when you go out for drinks on a rainy night (it’s romantic if it’s a safe bar, right? I also love rainy nights the most when I’m not in a rush—the atmosphere isn’t too frivolous), and you happen to leave your umbrella at the bar, you’d go back to the same place the next day or on a night when you’re free to retrieve it, right?

Apparently, there’s an unspoken rule where staff will deliberately hand the umbrella to the customer with a casual “Oh, hello,” and then quietly send them on their way.
Back in the 1970s, there was a malicious tactic in Japan where bars would intentionally let drunk customers leave without their umbrellas to get them to come back, then take advantage of their feelings of guilt to push more drinks on them. It’s said that bar staff adopted this practice back then, and it’s continued to this day.

 

If you know this, then when you go back to the store to pick up the umbrella you left behind, you won’t worry, “Am I disliked as a customer?” just because the staff isn’t as friendly as you expected.
 
As for the eyeshadow, I think a smoky eye look tends to appear a bit too intense.
It’s not the “defined smoky eye” look promoted by some brands. Instead, after applying the main color to your eyelid, take the second-darkest shade (counting from the darkest one used at the outer corner) and apply a single coat over the main color as a finishing touch.

Since we’re transitioning from summer to fall, I imagine many people are applying the main color in a slightly narrower strip, but it’s perfectly fine to keep the width as is.
This creates a soft, feminine, or gentle impression while still giving you a certain air of resolve.

The green Tabasco sauce I found at 7-Eleven

When I went to 7-Eleven, I saw some green Tabasco sauce and bought it.
It’s the Tabasco with a heat level of 1 (jalapeño).
I drizzled it over my make-ahead cabbage dish—you know, the one everyone’s familiar with.
It was delicious.
I think it would also be delicious drizzled over boiled shrimp or sashimi.
 
It occurred to me that when traveling abroad—especially if you can’t bring your usual condiments due to pharmaceutical regulations—it might be a good idea to either bring both the red and green Tabasco sauces with you or buy them at a local supermarket.

Use the green Tabasco to cut through the richness of a heavy meal, and save the red Tabasco for Spicy Ramen or Toonba Cup Noodles. If you’re eating Nissin Cup Noodles, the green Tabasco gives it a refreshing finish—it might come in handy when your appetite wanes.
 
Even if you bring powdered pepper, mustard, wasabi, or soy sauce and dissolve them in local water, they’re useless if the water doesn’t agree with you.
Red and green Tabasco, on the other hand, are available everywhere in the world, so I think they’re very convenient.
 
That’s all from me—this thought came to me when I went back to the bar to retrieve the umbrella I’d left there.

The idea of receiving a phone call from “Arrow” while waiting for the rain—as if something is about to begin in the night—creates such a magical atmosphere, doesn’t it?
Or maybe “Arrow” (Good evening!) and the clap of thunder are calling out to the whole city?
 
When I first heard this song, I was so excited, thinking, “This is a masterpiece that youthfully carries on the K-pop trend started by SPY!” But then I wondered, “Huh? Isn’t this a big deal?” Just as I was thinking that, I heard it had hit 100 million streams on Spotify, so I was relieved.

日曜日なので、穏やかな内容を書いています。

 

何となくキリスト教のシンボルのお花は白い百合なのだろう、と考えていました。

特にマリア様のお花は白い百合の筈と思っていたら、キリスト教のお花は薔薇なんだそうです。（白い百合をシンボルとする場合もあるそうです。）

 

上の写真は、敬虔な気持ちであれば寄付になるので、この頃通販でメダイ、ミニ・ロザリオとロザリオを購入して撮ったものです。

ロザリオはお祈りに使う聖品です。

私は洗礼を受けていないので少し迷い、初めはミニ・ロザリオを購入し、自分の持っているブレスレットにカスタマイズして身に付けていました。

そのようにカスタマイズしても何ら問題は無いんだそうです。

その後、扶助者マリア様のメダイを二つとホワイトロザリオを購入しました。

扶助者マリアのメダイと薔薇のミニロザリオとをカスタマイズしたブレスレッド

 

ブレスレットとミニ・ロザリオをカスタマイズする方法ですが、細い好きな色のワイヤーを用意します。

また、ラジオペンチとワイヤー等針金を切る刃が片方に付いているペンチ（通常の大きさのペンチ）を用意します。

もし通常の大きさのペンチが無ければ、この程度の細さのワイヤーなら文房具バサミで切れます。ですがハサミの刃が痛む可能性もありますので、その場合はご自身のハサミで怪我の無いように切ってください。

 

お持ちのブレスレットとミニ・ロザリオを平行に並べます。

 

ミニ・ロザリオとブレスレットを、手首に巻いて映えるお好きな位置に調節し、各チェーンの穴とロザリオの穴を細いワイヤーで結びます。

 

ラジオ・ペンチを使って結ぶんですが、お裁縫のように一本のワイヤーでブレスとロザリオの穴を通し、両端をラジオペンチで縦に捻り（ねじり）ます。

 

全部捻り、切ったワイヤーの先が皮膚が当たらないよう、捻った部分をさらに二つ折りにし又捻ります。

すると先が丸くなったままで皮膚にワイヤーの先が当たらなくなります。

 

捻った部分全体を、今度はブレスレットに沿うように巻きつけて完成です。

 

割りと長めにワイヤーを取った方が作業はし易いですよ。

私は新たに購入した扶助者マリア様の赫いメダイを、留め具の輪の中（丸くなった部分）に通して付けました。

 

あまり指先に力を入れないのがコツです。下手をすると爪の間に刺さる恐れがありますので、くれぐれもゆっくり安全に作業して下さいね。

 

こういう作業を早くするのが上手い人、手先が器用な人という考え方って、個人的に馬鹿馬鹿しい事この上ない価値観だと思います。

此の作業を、例えば1分で終わらせる事が何か優れているんでしょうか？

最終的に100メートル走のコースに並べた机の上でやるつもりなんでしょうか？

 

なので、安全に、ゆっくり、気持ちが鎮まっている時にやってみて下さい。

知らずに購入したのですが、何とも不思議なご縁ですよね。 

 

メダイの扶助者マリア様のお姿を見ると杖を持たれているのが分かります。

大天使ミカエルのお姿も杖を持たれており、私は東アジアに住み、アニミズムを基盤とする神道の神棚をお祀りし、日々のお商売や暮らしのささやかな感謝をしています。

仏教に観世音菩薩（かんぜおんぼさつ）という存在がおられますが、こちらの観世音菩薩様（かんぜおんぼさつ）様は、あらゆるものに変化され（へんげされ）、人々を救うのだそうです。

 

ひょっとして大天使ミカエル様が扶助者マリア様に変化（へんげ）されたり、扶助者マリア様が大天使ミカエル様に変化（へんげ）され、人々を救い護るという風に伝わっているのかしら？　と、スピノザの偉大で素敵なステップを見付けたような、世界の巨大さを初めて知ったような気持ちになりました。

エナメルが今調べて来た大天使ミカエル様ですが、実はガーディアンの名でお馴染みの存在です。

扶助者を英訳するとやはりGuardianとなります。

不思議ですが、扶助者マリアで英訳するとMaria, the Helperです。

奇妙な一致ですが、偶然では無いようです。

 

実は以前カトリックの方に伺った所、扶助者マリアはクリスチャンのガーディアンなのだそうです。

大天使ミカエル様は人々のガーディアン。

なので観世音菩薩の変化（へんげ）を此処に見たエナメルは、大変自然な見方をしていますよ。

 

僕は宗派は持っていませんが、やはり何処の宗派に対しても尊重する姿勢が必要不可欠だと思います。

僕も薔薇を育てようかな。

5-Bead Rosary (White) / Bracelet Customized from a “Silver Rose” Mini Rosary and a Medal of Mary, Help of Christians

 

Since it’s Sunday, I’m writing about something gentle.
 
I’d always vaguely assumed that the white lily was the symbolic flower of Christianity.
I thought the white lily must be the flower associated with the Virgin Mary in particular, but apparently the flower of Christianity is the rose. (Though I’ve heard the white lily is sometimes used as a symbol as well.)
 
The photo above shows a medal, a mini rosary, and a rosary that I recently purchased online; since buying them with a devout heart counts as a donation, I took this picture.

A rosary is a religious item used for prayer.
Since I haven’t been baptized, I was a little hesitant at first, so I bought a mini rosary and customized it to fit onto a bracelet I already owned to wear it.
Apparently, there’s no problem at all with customizing it that way.
Later, I purchased two medals of Our Lady Help of Christians and a white rosary.

I bought the medals of Our Lady Help of Christians partly as a collector’s item and partly for protection, and I bought the white rosary because I really wanted one and I love white flowers.

A bracelet featuring a customized Medal of Our Lady of Help and a mini rosary with roses

To customize a bracelet and a mini rosary, start by gathering some thin wire in your favorite color.
You’ll also need needle-nose pliers and a pair of standard-sized pliers with a cutting blade on one side.
If you don’t have standard-sized pliers, you can cut wire of this thickness with stationery scissors. However, this might damage the blades, so if you do use scissors, please be careful not to cut yourself.
 
Line up your bracelet and the mini rosary side by side.
 
Adjust the mini rosary and bracelet to your preferred position so they look good when wrapped around your wrist, then connect the holes in each chain to the holes in the rosary using the thin wire.
 
Use needle-nose pliers to secure the connection: just like sewing, thread a single piece of wire through the holes in the bracelet and the rosary, then twist both ends vertically with the pliers.
 
Once you’ve twisted everything, fold the twisted section in half again and twist it once more to ensure the cut ends of the wire don’t touch your skin.
This will keep the ends rounded so they won’t come into contact with your skin.
 
Next, wrap the entire twisted section around the bracelet to finish it off.
 
It’s easier to work with if you cut the wire a bit longer than necessary.
I threaded my newly purchased red Medal of Our Lady Help of Christians through the loop of the clasp (the rounded part) to attach it.
 
The trick is not to apply too much pressure with your fingertips. If you’re not careful, the wire could get stuck between your fingernails, so please be sure to work slowly and safely.
 
Personally, I think the idea that people who can do this kind of work quickly or who are “dexterous” are somehow superior is an utterly ridiculous way of thinking.
Is there really anything impressive about finishing this task in, say, one minute?
Do you plan to do this on a desk lined up along a 100-meter track?
 
So, please try doing this safely, slowly, and when you’re feeling calm.
 
For the necklace medallions, I simply threaded them onto the chains.
I like both of them.
I even wear them while taking a bath.

I’ve heard that Our Lady of Perpetual Help protects Christians from persecution and walks alongside people in their lives to offer assistance.
Although I’m Japanese by nationality, my roots are in mainland China, so—would you believe it!—I’ve heard that this Our Lady Help of Christians is the one who protects Catholic believers in China.
I bought it without knowing that, but what a mysterious connection, isn’t it?
 
When you look at the image of Our Lady Help of Christians on the medal, you can see that she’s holding a staff.
The Archangel Michael is also depicted holding a staff. I live in East Asia, where I maintain a Shinto altar rooted in animism, offering my humble gratitude each day for my business and daily life.
In Buddhism, there is a figure known as Kannon Bosatsu (Avalokiteshvara), who is said to transform into any form to save people.
 
I wondered, “Could it be that the tradition is passed down in such a way that the Archangel Michael transforms into Mary, the Helper, or Mary, the Helper, transforms into the Archangel Michael, and in this way, they save and protect people?” It felt as if I had discovered one of Spinoza’s great and wonderful insights, or as if I had realized for the first time just how vast the world truly is.

Archangel Michael, whom Enamel just looked up, is actually a figure well known by the name “Guardian.”
When you translate “Helper” into English, it naturally becomes “Guardian.”
It’s curious, but when you translate “Mary, the Helper” into English, it becomes “Maria, the Helper.”
It’s a strange coincidence, but it doesn’t seem to be just a coincidence.
 
In fact, I once asked a Catholic friend, and they told me that Mary, the Helper, is the Guardian of Christians.
Archangel Michael is the Guardian of all people.
So Enamel, who saw this as a manifestation of Kannon Bodhisattva, is taking a very natural perspective.
 
I don’t belong to any particular denomination, but I do believe it’s essential to maintain an attitude of respect toward all denominations.
Maybe I’ll try growing some roses myself.
